Urinary incontinence

Urinary incontinence is the involuntary emptying of the bladder and can be caused by various reasons. Stress incontinence is often the result of a weak pelvic floor, where simply coughing or laughing results in a leakage of the bladder. There are various reasons for urge incontinence, reflex incontinence and overflow incontinence including illnesses, uncontrollable nerve reflexes, damages and the after effects of medical operations. Furthermore psychosocial factors and old age can contribute to incontinence.
